August 17There was a whistle of sound and Tharin ducked instinctively. Huddling close to the ground, he looked around, and spotted the bolt, buried in the trunk of a tree, still quivering. He pressed closer to the ground and slipped silently under a nearby bush. July 2Ever since the teacher had told Kaels guardian that Kael needed to be dropped off at the classroom each day, she got more and more confused. Luka Smith, Kaels guardian was not the only person to pick him up and drop him off. One day it was a beautiful young woman who had seemed to be wearing a pleated school skirt with some massive shoes. That same day, after school, it was a guy so gorgeous he had to have had something done, wearing a large flowing white shirt and a pair of tight jeans. Luka stepped out of the house, holding the door open for Kael to follow him. He could have left the child with Nathaniel, who was not going to do any form of work today, but he doubted that Nathaniel would provide good company, completely unconscious as he was. Plus there was no telling what Kael might get up to in the house. Luka didnt really trust the house; it was always holding back a few surprises.
